NLL PLAYOFFS UPDATE: THREE TEAMS IN WEST WITH CHANCE TO CLINCH THIS WEEKEND

Calgary, Edmonton & Minnesota can clinch; Washington can secure first-round home game

The National Lacrosse League has determined that the Calgary Roughnecks, Edmonton Rush and Minnesota Swarm each have an opportunity to clinch one of three remaining unclaimed playoff berths in the Western Division this weekend. The Eastern Division race is so tightly packed that no team is in position to clinch this weekend.

The Washington Stealth, the only team to clinch a berth thus far, have an opportunity this weekend to secure home field for their opening round (Divisonal Semifinal) playoff game.

WESTERN DIVISION

WASHINGTON STEALTH: (9-3) Have clinched a playoff berth. Can clinch at least second place in the division (first-round playoff home game) with a win AND a Minnesota loss AND two Calgary losses this weekend.

EDMONTON RUSH: (7-4) Can clinch a playoff berth with a win or a Colorado loss this weekend.

CALGARY ROUGHNECKS: (6-5) Can clinch a playoff berth with one win and a Colorado loss, OR with two wins this weekend. MINNESOTA SWARM: (5-6) Can clinch a playoff berth with a win and a Colorado loss this weekend.
