Edmonton, AB -- The Edmonton Rush are proud today to announce assistant captains with a quad effective for the 2012 National Lacrosse League season, home assistants , Derek Suddons and Shawn Williams, away assistants Brett Mydske and Ryan Ward.
"We have strong leadership throughout our team. All four of these guys have been captains on various teams, including NLL throughout their careers." States General Manager and Head Coach Derek Keenan.

The quad assistants along with Captain Jimmy Quinlan unveiled the team's 2012 NLL Season jerseys. In addition, the team presented a warm-up jersey that will showcase sponsors on a jersey prior to the game during warm-up.
The Rush players will be outfitted in new uniforms designed by Reebok this season. The new uniforms are lighter in weight and feature a sleek design that will allow the fastest game on two feet to move even faster. The sleek new uniforms from Reebok with ergonomic shape designed to enhance player's range of motion.
"Reebok has revolutionized the NLL jerseys by introducing a lacrosse specific design and developing new materials to maximize performance", said Steve Robaire, Head of Reebok Lacrosse. "The new NLL jersey has an ergonomic shape design to enhance range of motion and reduce drag. The material used for the NLL jersey is lightweight while offering 4-way stretch as well as advances in abrasion resistance and wicking properties."

The Rush also announced a special partnership today, in the 2012 Rush season, the Rush will be hitting the turf on the newly christened, Crystal Glass Field at Rexall Place. Edmonton based company, Crystal Glass, has recently taken their sponsorship of Edmonton's NLL team to another level, and their support of Edmonton's NLL team and interesting approach shows a growing interest in a sport that is still looking to make a big crack in Edmonton's sports scene.
"When I met Bruce (Urban), his enthusiasm for the team and passion for community involvement was palpable," says Crystal Glass General Manager Ken Franczek, "How could I not be excited to be a part of this organization?"
Not only did he and Crystal Glass become a partner, they have become one of the major partners the Rush has in this upcoming season.

The Edmonton Rush, Northlands and other corporate partners continue to work together with Kids Up Front Edmonton to allow economically disadvantaged kids and families the opportunity to attend Rush games. This season the Edmonton Rush and corporate partners have donated 175 seasons tickets and Northlands has donated 75 Rush seasons tickets.
Northlands and the Edmonton Rush also challenge other organizations to support Kids Up Front by donating unused Rush tickets to Kids Up Front.
The Rush opens their seventh NLL season Tonight, Friday, January 20 against west divisional rival the Colorado Mammoth, Rexall Place for a 7 p.m. faceoff. Tickets are available at Ticketmaster www.ticketmaster.ca.
