Randy Couture defeats Mark Coleman
UFC 109 featured a clash between two of the sports most recognized fighters. In the end though, it was clear who was still at the top of his game.
From the start, Randy "The Natural" Couture took it to Mark "The Hammer" Coleman, showing off his improved boxing skills, and waiting for his time to strike. In the 2nd round, Couture saw an opening, and was able to take The Hammer down to the mat and expose his backside. From there, The Natural was able to apply a rear-naked choke, and at 1:09 of the 2nd round, Coleman tapped out
The partnership with Xtreme Couture is paying off for the RUSH players as well, as XCM trainees Brodie Merrill and Jimmy Quinlan dominated in their fights in Calgary on Friday night. Brodie devastated Roughnecks defender Mike Kilby with several rights and busted him open, to the extent that Kilby had to leave the game for repairs. Quinlan also took it to defender Scott Carnegie, peppering him with several right hooks and uppercuts.
