The All-Star Skills Competition was held on Saturday at Rexall Place in Edmonton following the Rush-Knighthawks game.

In the fastest shot competition, Rochester's John Grant won for the third time in four years with a shot that was clocked at 104 miles per hour. Philadelphia's Athan Iannucci took second place with a 97 mile per hour shot.

Grant also won the competition for the best Trick Shot, which was judged by response from the crowd. The crowd favorite was a shot by Grant where instead of heading towards the goal, he ran off the floor via the zamboni exit, leaving the goalie wondering where he was. Grant re-emerged in the lower level seats of the arena, and shot the ball into the net from the stands.

The agility contest was won by Mark Steenhuis of the Buffalo Bandits. San Jose's Eric Martin was the runner-up.

San Jose won the 3 vs. 3 tournament. The combination of Colin Doyle, Eric Martin and goaltender Anthony Cosmo edged Rochester's trio of John Grant, Shawn Evans and goaltender Phil Wetherup.

Colorado goaltender Gee Nash won the goalie long shot competition. Nash edged Wetherup.

In the Shooting Accuracy competition, Edmonton's Mike Accursi edged Buffalo's John Tavares.
