Edmonton , AB - The Edmonton Rush Lacrosse Club continues to build its team by adding strength, agility and speed with its picks at the 2005 NLL Entry Draft held this evening at Rexall Place.

The list of players selected by the Edmonton Rush in the 2005 NLL Entry Draft are:

Second round selection Mike McLellan was traded to Arizona Sting as part of the 2005 Dispersal Draft Trade on July 20, 2005.

Edmonton traded 6 th round 2005 pick to Rochester in exchange for 6 th round pick in 2006.

A highlight of the evening was when the Edmonton Rush selected two local players from the Edmonton Miners Junior “A” Lacrosse Team. Greg Whitenect and Jon Marrese are currently playing in the Minto Cup here in Edmonton.

“We are very excited with all of our selections,” Paul Day, General Manager/Head Coach said “We are thrilled to be able to pick up a couple local players as well and watch them develop.”

The Edmonton Rush franchise was awarded to Edmonton on May 5, 2005 by the National Lacrosse League. Professional indoor lacrosse combines the physical play of hockey with the high scoring, fast pace and play-making style of basketball.
