Edmonton, AB - The Edmonton Rush Lacrosse Club was involved in two major trades following the NLL Dispersal Draft, adding four new players to the Rush roster.
Edmonton receives Chris McElroy and Matt Dwane from Arizona, in exchange for the Rush's second round selection in the 2007 Entry Draft. Edmonton also traded Jeff Spano, today's draft selection Damien Davis and their first round selection in the 2007 Entry Draft to the Minnesota Swarm for Kerry Susheski, Ted Jenner and a third round selection in the 2005 Entry Draft.
"These players are the beginning of our defensive core and they are tough as nails," A.J. Jomha, Director of Lacrosse Operations stated. "Susheski is a great all around player that can play on both ends of the floor. We are excited to be able to bring a team like these guys together for our fans."
The Edmonton Rush franchise was awarded to Edmonton on May 5, 2005 by the National Lacrosse League. Professional indoor lacrosse combines the physical play of hockey with the high scoring, fast pace and play-making style of basketball.
