Duane Vienneau - President

Duane Vienneau, currently employed by Northlands Park since 1998, has 18 years of facility and event related experience with extensive knowledge and experience in the following markets:
- Sporting Events
- Concerts and Cabarets
- Trade and Consumer Shows
- Conventions and Meetings
- Fairs and Exhibitions
- Agricultural Events
Vienneau’s current role as Business Unit Manager - Facility Sales & Event Services for Northlands Park has him overseeing a sales team, a client services team and an operations team consisting of nineteen full-time employees and numerous part-time employees. His responsibilities include ensuring that excellent customer service is received by all clients right from the rental of the facility through to the servicing of the event as well as post-event clean up.
Vienneau has been directly involved with each major event that has happened in the City of Edmonton since 2001 including the following:
- 2001 World Championships in Athletics - Chair of the Recognition & Benefits Committee
- 2002 Grey Cup - Special Events committee member
- 2003 Heritage Classic - acted as liaison between the Edmonton Oilers Hockey Club and Northlands Park
- 2004 BMO Canadian Figure Skating Championships - successfully pursued the event to come to Edmonton.
- 2005 Tim Hortons Brier - successfully pursued the event to come to Edmonton as well as sat as a member of the Executive Committee.
He is an active member of the Edmonton community and is involved with numerous volunteer groups and committees throughout the City of Edmonton. Vienneau currently sits as a member of the Board of Directors for:
- Junior Achievement of Northern Alberta and the Northwest Territories
- Canadian Association of Exposition Managers
- Northern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium
Vienneau is an active member of:
- Edmonton Junior Chamber/Jaycees
- Canadian Junior Chamber/Jaycees - Senator
- Meetings & Business Travel Committee (Edmonton Tourism)
- Edmonton Events International (Edmonton Tourism)
