Edmonton, AB - The Edmonton Rush traded a conditional pick in the 2006 NLL Entry Draft to the Calgary Roughnecks for 26 year old, right-handed defender, Jordan Sundher of Victoria, BC.

Sundher, a two-time Mann Cup Champion, holds the all-time record for face-offs wins at 172 with the Calgary Roughnecks recorded in the 2002 NLL Season.  He signed with the Roughnecks late in the 2005 season and played only four games.  In that short time, he recorded 61 face-off wins in 110 attempts.

“Jordan is a young player with experience in the league who has exceptional skills in face-off situations.”  states GM/Head Coach, Paul Day  “We are also looking at him to bring chemistry to our defense.”

He will come to training camp this weekend and be reunited with old friends from the 2005 Mann Cup Champions, Victoria Shamrocks, Andrew Turner, Buck Stobart, Rory Glaves, Chris McElroy, Tyler Heavenor, and Ted Jenner.

36 players will battle as training camp continues this weekend at Millennium Place in Sherwood Park, AB.   The Rush released five players from its roster over the past weekend of its inaugural training camp - Reese Bailey, Marwan Jomha, Dan Bowman, Aaron Davis, and Danny Walters.

The Rush roster will consist of 23 players and 3 practice players.

The Edmonton Rush training camp is open to the public.  Spectators are welcome.
