Edmonton, AB - The Edmonton Rush Lacrosse Club announced the first of many game day promotions and announcements today, with their partnership with the Orange County Choppers.
The Orange County Choppers are creating a custom Edmonton Rush chopper to serve as a signature piece and inaugural memento for the Edmonton Rush Lacrosse Club. This chopper will be unveiled at the inaugural game of the Edmonton Rush on January 6.
The season home opener on January 6 vs. San Jose brings an enormous amount of energy and excitement as the first professional lacrosse game at Rexall Place. Also on opening night, one lucky season ticketholder will win a trip for two to New York to meet Paul Teutel Sr, Paul Teutel Jr and the rest of the cast and crew at Orange County Choppers at the O.C.C. shop. Only season ticketholders will be entered to win this ultimate prize. Three other fans will win a mini replica of this Rush O.C.C. chopper on opening night.
The Edmonton Rush customized chopper is being built in New York at the Orange County Choppers shop. The chopper, similar to customized choppers built for other professional sports teams such as the New York Yankees, Kansas City Royals and New York Jets, will be commissioned for promotional purposes with the lacrosse team. This is the first chopper that O.C.C. has built for a Canadian sports team and the first Canadian O.C.C. chopper.
“An Orange County Chopper is a statement. The chopper speaks to what this team and game are all about: speed, backbone and finesse.” Bruce Urban, Majority Owner and Governor, Edmonton Rush Lacrosse Club said. “Our chopper is for everyone – the team, the fans and the City of Edmonton.”
The excitement continues for the home opening game with the Canadian Country Music Best Group of the Year Road Hammers performing at the game. Lead singer Jason McCoy quotes his performing live on stage similar to a strong successful winning lacrosse player, “You need to get out there every night and get beat up a lot.”
