Over 50 players from across Canada and the United States were seeking a roster number to the Rush’s training camp in November. The Rush currently has 30 players on its roster and was originally looking for an additional 10 players from this camp to complete its training camp roster. The National Lacrosse League rules allow each team to bring 40 players to their main training camp, which the Rush intend to do.

The 11 players selected emphasized the strength of lacrosse in the Province of Alberta and especially in the City of Edmonton. Of the 11 players, eight players are from the surrounding area, one lucky player is from the City of Calgary.

“The skill level of lacrosse players in this province has always been exceptional.” states A.J., Director of Lacrosse Operations/Assistant Coach. “These players demonstrated the skill level that we require to compete at a high level in the NLL - fast, strong and quick hands.”

The players selected will bring a strong resume with them to training camp. They will continue to train on their own and join the team in early November when training camp opens.
