Jimmy Quinlan
Jimmy Quinlan
Edmonton, AB - Edmonton Rush's left hand offensive player Jimmy Quinlan returns to the big City of Toronto this Friday to battle with his former team the 2005 NLL Champions Toronto Rock. The University of Alberta student (Bachelor of Education) will miss school Friday to battle with the Rock and prove that his NLL expansion team is capable of competing with the best in the league.

Local boy Quinlan was traded from the Toronto Rock to the Rush for Scott Campbell. He currently leads the Rush in points and assists with a total of 14 points and 10 assists. He also is second behind assistant captain Jamey Bowen in goals with a total of 4 goals.

In his rookie NLL season, Jimmy helped the Toronto Rock win the league championship by scoring six goals and four assists for 10 points in eight games while collecting 24 penalty minutes and 21 loose balls. In one playoff game, Jimmy earned one assist and three loose balls. During the summer season, Jimmy scored 20-24-44 in 17 games for the WLA's Coquitlam Adanacs.

Despite the current record of the Toronto Rock at 0-4, Quinlan is well aware of the challenge that faces the Rush Friday night at Air Canada Centre.

"The Rock is solid with veteran players that know what it takes to get that win." states Quinlan "I look forward to the challenge of returning to Air Canada Centre in the visiting dressing room and leaving Friday night with a win."

GM/Head Coach Paul Day this weekend will travel via car to Air Canada Centre and enjoy his turn to save travel time to prepare for the game on Friday night. Day resides in the local area of Toronto.

"The key to success this game is to continue with the high energy of play." states GM/Head Coach Paul Day." Both teams will be playing tough for that first win of the season."
