Edmonton, AB - ATTITUDE IS EVERYTHING when it comes to the 2007 National Lacrosse League season for the Edmonton Rush. While the team struggled putting wins together in its inaugural year, the Rush certainly enjoyed overwhelming success when it came to support from the fans. The Rush's average attendance for the 2006 season was 10,300. The Rush has definite plans to reward the fans' loyalty in '07 with greater accomplishments on the floor.

The fans' passion for the Rush is a key component to the ATTITUDE IS EVERYTHING era that the Rush is focused on this season.

The Rush will start the '07 campaign with a substantially different roster. Back for the new year are fan favourites like Pat Campbell, Andrew Turner and Jimmy Quinlan and they've been joined by veterans like Chris Gill, Dan Stroup and Jason Wulder who will provide the Rush with leadership, experience and scoring punch.

The Rush will continue to offer the More Bang, Less Buck season-ticket package at an affordable price of $80. Plus continue their partnership with United Cycle that gives families the option to purchase a season-ticket package in the family section at United Cycle for $160, which includes a hot dog and pop for all eight home games. Also available at United Cycle will be a game-day ticket in the family section that includes a hot dog and pop in the lower bowl for $30 and upper bowl for $20.

The Rush will again provide their fans with some exciting entertainment at each home game this season. To begin the year, the Rush have confirmed these three special events:

Friday, Jan. 6 (home opener) - Von Dutch Kustom Cycles

Friday, Jan. 13 - Former NBA 'Bad Boy' Dennis Rodman

Friday, Jan. 19 - Canadian TV and movie icons The Trailer Park Boys

In addition to celebrity entertainment, the Rush will unveil a new Mascot this season, introduce a new arena host to accompany current host Yukon Jack from 100.03 The Bear and give fans a million dollar reason to come watch professional lacrosse. Every game a fan will try to win a million dollars by guessing the last four (4) digits of a Rogers cell phone.

The 2007 NLL season will get a launch with the Rush's first-ever home exhibition game, which will see them take on their provincial rival, the Calgary Roughnecks, on Friday, Dec. 8. The game will be open to fans. Advance tickets are available through Ticketmaster for $8 or they can be purchased for $10 at the door. Season-ticket holders can purchase their tickets for the pre-season game for only $5. All net proceeds from ticket sales will be donated to The Bear Children's Fund. . The event will also be a food raiser for the Edmonton Food Bank in support of Mayor Stephen Mandel's food drive.

The Rush also announced a new community service program featuring its players including Chris McElroy and Buck Stobart. Rush players will visit schools and teach students the techniques and strategies of lacrosse while also encouraging the kids to stay fit. In addition to players in the community the Rush introduced the "Silver Back Rush Ambassadors." The "Silver Back Rush Ambassadors" is a group of community minded individuals that are dedicated to help build and promote the sport of lacrosse in the city of Edmonton and surrounding communities.

ATTITUDE IS EVERYTHING and with the complement of new players, new promotions and new entertainment on tap to solidify that a night out at lacrosse will be everything a fan wants and more.
