Lewis Ratcliff and the Calgary Roughnecks were stellar this weekend, winning consecutive games to clinch a home playoff game at Pengrowth Saddledome. The Calgary Roughnecks defeated the Edmonton Rush, 17-11, in front of 14,790 fans at Rexall Place on Saturday evening. With the victory, Calgary clinches home field advantage for a Division Semi-Final playoff game. The Roughnecks will host Arizona next weekend at Pengrowth Saddledome (Date/Time TBD). Kaleb Toth and Scott Ranger each recorded hat-tricks to lead Calgary, while rookie goaltender Ryan Avery was solid in goal, recording 40 saves in the win.

The victory caps an impressive weekend for the Roughnecks, who defeated Arizona and Edmonton in consecutive nights to go from being on the playoff-bubble to the #2 seed. Calgary, Arizona and San Jose all finish with 9-7 records, but the Roughnecks victory over Arizona on Friday swayed the tiebreakers their way.

Kyle Goundrey, Lewis Ratcliff and Nolan Heavenor each scored two goals for the Roughnecks, while five others added singles. The balanced offensive effort produced 17 goals, Calgary's second-highest of the season.

Dan Stroup led Edmonton with four goals, while A.J. Shannon added two. Curtis Palidwor made 34 saves in the loss.

Edmonton finishes the season with a 6-10 record, a big improvement over last year's 1-15 result.
