Chris Gill

Chris Gill, Dan Stroup, Curtis Palidwor and Mike Accursi have all agreed to new two-year contracts with the club (pending final approval by league). Palidwor and Accursi have been listed as the team's Franchise Players.
"These four players make up a big part of the nucleus of our team," said Rush GM/Head Coach Paul Day. "They all had great seasons last year and I know that they're expecting even more out of themselves in the upcoming season."
Gill, who was acquired with Stroup last year in an off-season trade with Chicago, led the Rush in nearly every offensive category including team records in points (62), goals (37), and power-play goals (15).
During the year, Gill also joined the prestigious 300 career goal club and set a Rush record by scoring six goals in a victory over Calgary. He was named the NLL's Offensive Player of the Week in Week 1 for his eight-point effort (another franchise record) against Philadelphia and was named to the West Division team for the 2007 NLL All-Star Game.
Stroup finished third in team scoring with 29 goals and 22 assists for 51 points and he finished second to Gill with 10 power-play goals. The veteran forward was also in on a pair of Rush records - scoring the fastest three goals by one player in a game and combining with Gill on the fastest two power-play goals in a game.
After coming to Edmonton in a trade from New York last season, Palidwor provided the Rush with outstanding goaltending and his performances earned him the Team MVP Award. Palidwor finished the year with five victories, a 10.48 goals-against average and a .789 save-percentage.
Palidwor was named the NLL's Defensive Player of the Week for making 50 saves in a victory over Toronto. He finished the 2007 season with 465 saves in over 709 minutes of action.
Accursi is the newest member of the Rush, coming to the club from Rochester in a trade last week. In 144 career NLL games, Accursi has 253 goals and 275 assists for 528 points.
Last season, he set a career-high with 77 points (26 goals and 51 assists) during the regular season and then in the playoffs, Accursi led all players with 11 goals including three in the Champion's Cup final as Rochester defeated Arizona 13-11.
