Quinlan was selected by league officials to join the West team after Chris Gill, the Rush's leading scorer, graciously declined to attend the All-Star Game on Saturday, March 10 in Portland due to a family commitment. Quinlan joins Rush Captain Andrew Turner in the West Division lineup.
Quinlan currently stands fourth in Rush scoring with 11 goals and 10 assists for 21 points. The 25-year-old was a dominant force in the Rush's season-opener as he scored five goals against the Philadelphia Wings and two weeks ago he racked up four assists against the Arizona Sting. The third-year pro has registered at least one point in six of seven games this season
In addition to his point production, the Sherwood Park product has consistently added some spark to the Rush attack with his tenacious effort and scrappy style.
"I felt he deserved to be in the All-Star Game last year so getting selected this year to go is very fitting," said Rush GM/Head Coach Paul Day.
"Jimmy has been very good for us this season. Even on nights where he hasn't been able to put up many points, he's worked extremely hard at the little things like tracking down loose balls along with creating havoc for the opposition."
The Edmonton Rush believes ATTITUDE IS EVERYTHING. Fans are encouraged to wear Black, Be Loud and Bring ATTITUDE.
