Edmonton, AB - The Rush are building off their very first home win - 13-12 over Philadelphia last Saturday. Randy Daly scored the game-winning goal with less than 2 seconds remaining. A team record was set by Jimmy Quinlan recording the team's first 5 goals in a game and Chris Gill set a team recording 8 eight points.
Saturday, January 13, is the first edition of the 2007 schedule's Battle of Alberta - first of three meetings with the Calgary Roughnecks this season (two at home for Rush); Rush's lone win last season was at the Pengrowth Saddledome.
Game time is 7 p.m. at Rexall Place; doors open at 5:30 p.m.
And to bolster our own troops, the Rush have invited former NBA "Bad Boy" Dennis Rodman to the game. "The Worm" is sure to be colourful, outspoken and in the mood to see some incredible lacrosse action so fans are invited to wear their best Rush black and help the one of the most outrageous sports characters of all time lead the Rush to win over their provincial rivals.
ATTITUDE IS EVERYTHING and with the complement of new players, new promotions and new entertainment on tap to solidify that a night out at lacrosse will be everything a fan wants and more.
