Edmonton, AB - Edmonton Rush defeated the Toronto Rock by a score of 12 to 9 Friday night at Rexall Place.

Goals by Jamie Bowen at 1:04 and Ryan O'Connor at 2:46 and 4:29 of the first quarter lifted the Rush to a 3-2 lead over the Rock heading into the second. Jimmy Quinlan scored the Rush's fourth goal of the game at 3:11 in the second quarter giving the Rush a two goal edge over the Rock. The Rock didn't back away though as goals by Josh Sanderson at 7:34 and Chad Thompson at 9:58 tied the game at four apiece. The Rush weren't about to head into the half with a tie and two goals by Randy Daly, and a goal by Chris Gill pushed the Rush into a 7-4 lead. Gill's goal tied the franchise record for most goals scored in a season. The record was set last year by Kevin Howard who recorded 20 goals.

The Rush maintained their lead in the third quarter as goals by Jimmy Quinlan and Jamie Bowen put the Rush ahead by four. The Rush led by a score of 9-5 heading into the final fifteen. Defenceman Kevin Fines scored the lone goal for the Rock in the third. In the final quarter, Jason Wulder's sixth goal of the season and Jimmy Quinlan's third goal of the night put the Rush up by a score of 11-5. The Rock then tried to catch up as Ryan Benesch scored at 8:53 and 11:42, and Blaine Manning put another late one away at 12:32. Dan Finck then pulled out his first goal of the season and put the game away for the Rush as he scored on the Rock's empty net. The Rush brought home another win, taking the game 12-9.

Randy Daly and Jamie Bowen led the Rush with five points. Each with two goals and three assists. Jimmy Quinlan and Chris Gill each recorded four points. Quinlan with three goals and one assist, and Gill with two goals and two assists. Dan Finck and Ryan O'Connor each had three points, while Rory Glaves and Jason Wulder both recorded two.  Dan Stroup, Andrew Turner and Curtis Palidwor both chipped in one apiece.

Aaron Wilson led the Rock with four points, one goal and four assists. Ryan Benesch had four points, two goals and two assists. Josh Sanderson recorded three points, and Chad Thompson, Kevin Fines, Blaine Manning and Jim Veltman each had two. Dan Ladouceur, Rob Marshall, and Chris Driscoll all contributed one point for the Rock.

Curtis Palidwor pulled out an amazing 50 saves for the Rush, and Bob Watson had 25 saves for the Rock.

This was the only meeting between these two clubs during the 2007 NLL regular season.
