
The Colorado Mammoth defeated the Edmonton Rush, 15-4, in front of 18,301 fans at Pepsi Center on Friday.
After Edmonton's Jimmy Quinlan scored the first goal of the game 3:53 into regulation, Gee Nash and the Mammoth defense held the Rush scoreless for the next 40-plus minutes while the Colorado offense rattled off 14 consecutive goals.
Nash finished with 31 saves and allowed an NLL season-low four goals in the win.
Jamie Shewchuk led the Mammoth offensively with four goals, while Nick Carlson added three. Jed Prossner, Brian Langtry and Jason Wulder each scored twice.
Brenden Thenhaus, Mike Grimes, Mike Hominuck and Quinlan scored the Rush goals. Curtis Palidwor (12 saves, 7 goals against) was pulled in the second quarter for Matt King (25 saves, 8 goals against). Palidwor was credited the loss.
Colorado (8-6) and Edmonton (4-10) meet again on Saturday at Rexall Place.
